One communicable disease you may find in the classroom is chickenpox. Some symptoms are slight fever, irritability, cold-like symptoms, a red rash that develops blister-like head, and scabs later and is most abundant on chest, back, neck. Prevention is to practice good personal hygiene, like careful hand washing and exlusion of the child. Immunization is also available.

Vitamin D regulates calcium as well as phosphorus adsorption and mineralization of the bone. Vitamin D can be found in fortified milk and exposure of skin to sunlight.

Bleeding: blood coming out of wound or cut.

Question: What is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes (Chapter 4)
Answer: Type 1 diabetes can be triggered by viral or environmental causes. It usually occurs in young children or young adults. Type 1 diabetes affects the pancreas where as type 2 diabetes is caused by the types of foods one eats and their diet. type 2 diabetes can be corrected if diet changes and lifestyle changes.

Heat Exhaustion is when an individual has lost a considerable amount of fluid through sweating and is overheated. They cannot seem to cool their body down.Heat exhaustion can be caused from doing strenuous activities for an extended amount of time without taking a break.

Some ways to check for fractures are obeserving mthat particular areas of extreme pain or tenderness, an unsual shape or deformity of the bone, a break in the skin with visible bone edges pretruding, swelling, a change in skin color around the injury site, and numbness or a tingling sensation.
